Jerusalem Old City is the most famous thing in the entire Israel.
Jerusalem is the place which is mentioned in the Bible and the city has existed from the time of before Christ. Jerusalem is so popular because of its thousands of years of history and moreover it still has the remains from the ancient times which the tourists come to see. Jerusalem is considered as the Holiest place by Christians as it is the city where Christ died and the city is also very close to Bethlehem where Christ was born. Jerusalem is considered as the third holiest place by the Islam’s after Mecca and Medina. Jerusalem is also considered as a holy place by the Jews as Judaism has started from Jerusalem and it has been the place where Jews have stayed. Israel is considered as a home country for the Jews. The city of Jerusalem attracts numerous tourists throughout the year due to these reasons. Jerusalem is divided into several parts like the Old City, the eastern Jerusalem and the western Jerusalem. Jerusalem is also surrounded by two oceans i.e. the Dead Sea and the Mediterranean Sea.
The Jerusalem Old City is the most famous and the most important city for the Christians.
The city is filled with a lot of old monuments which are there from the time of Christ and even before. The old city is actually a walled area inside the modern city of Jerusalem. Earlier the walled area of the Old City was entire Jerusalem which has now spread and developed so much. The old City is called old because of its relevance to the past and it still has some monuments which have a great religious importance like the Church of the Holy Sepulcher for the Christians, the al-Aqsa Mosque and the Dome of Rock for the Muslims, The western wall in the Temple Mount for the Jews. The Jerusalem Old City is divided into four quarters which are the Armenian Quarter, the Muslim Quarter, the Jewish quarter and the Christian Quarter. The Old City is so important and famous that it is being included in the UNESCO World Heritage Site list which is in huge danger. The things from the ancient past are getting depleted due to erosion, pollution and time which has put the Old City into a very big danger. The Jerusalem Old City has a very long history where it was being ruled by several kings as they are mentioned in the Holy Bible like the King David and then by his son King Solomon and many more. But now the Old City is heavily populated by people from all around the world like Jews, Christians and Islams. The city is now filled with markets of all types where the tourist can find all the things which he requires.
The Jerusalem Old City has grown tremendously from the time the city was formed. AS the city attracts tourists from all around the world the Jerusalem Nightlife has also improved a lot. Tourists from all around the world come to Jerusalem for a holy visit and stay in Jerusalem for some time durations. Every tourist bring their culture with them and their way of living which mixes up with the culture and living styles of Jerusalem. So what every tourist enjoys in Jerusalem is the mixed culture of a lot of cultures and Jerusalem Nightlife. The Jerusalem old City has improved from the ancient time a lot, but due to the history and the old monuments the tourists feel that they have landed in a country which is still old but when they see the nightlife of the city they realize that the city is just a mix of old and new cultures and styles.
